Details about the Basic Carbine course

IF YOU WANNA BUILD FOR THE FUTURE – YOU MUST SET YOUR FOUNDATION STRONG

COURSE INCLUDES CLASSROOM PORTION, DRY FIRE DRILLS AND LIVE SHOOTING ON THE RANGE.

This is a course for people with little to no experience with firearms, developed mostly for beginners’ shooters. However, it is not an exactly basic course because it includes many advanced level drills and exercises  that will lay down a solid foundation for your future gunfighting skills with your fighting carbine such as introduction to reflexive fire and rapid positions change.  Basic Courses are most important – why because that is where students make most mistakes that, if not corrected – will drastically impede your performance in the future. If you shot already and developed bad habits – we need to break those.

I can proudly say that you are capable of getting your fundamentals close to perfection and, if you do what I tell you how I tell you and when I tell you – you will be able to shoot sub-MOA groups at 100m, with no problem whatsoever with your standard issue rifle. That will get you way ahead of 90% of the Infantry or LE officers across the country.

Course starts with PPT presentation that explains firearms SAFETY RULES, rifle or carbine design and its principles of operation, modern aiming devices,  units of angular measurement, optics, thermal sights, illuminators / lasers, overmatch theory, cycle of operations, units of measurement, tactical employment, target acquisition and fundamentals of rifle/carbine ballistics.  Proper grouping and zero procedure is very important in this class.

You will learn about proper and safe rifle manipulation, loading/unloading, low ready and high ready positions, correct presentation technique admin, speed and tactical reload, basic carbine malfunctions what causes them and immediate and remediate actions to correct them.

Main focus of the class on the building solid fundamentals of rifle marksmanship with primary emphasis on accuracy, rather than speed, and safe handling firearms.

Basic rifle shooting positions. (standing, kneeling, prone) and proper transition will be practiced until perfection.

This course is a Prerequisite for Advanced Rifle/Carbine Courses that will develop you into a professional shooter.
